A Grander Opening: Long-Awaited Models Debut at Cedar Hill

SCHAUMBURG, IL, April 23 – For those who have had an expectant eye on Cedar Hill for some time, the suspense will finally be over on May 3rd. That’s the date when Kenar Homes’ emerging community of 26 duplex homes will complete its grand opening in leafy Woodridge, a suburb that has won recognition as one of Money Magazine’s 100 Best Places to Live. “First we grand opened the sales center, and then two of the four models. The moves generated interest and anticipation, with a lot of people asking us, ‘what about the other floor plans?’ Well, now homebuyers will finally get the chance to see and feel these other two models up-close, and they definitely won’t be disappointed,” said Laura Johnson, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Schaumburg-based Kenar.

These models, the Brittany and the Dalton, will feature open, airy layouts with three bedrooms, large great rooms, spacious kitchens, formal living and dining rooms, full 9’ deep basements, two-car garages, and central air conditioning. The Brittany’s kitchen will include an island and dinette area opening to the great room. A loft and laundry room will share space with the bedrooms upstairs. The Brittany measures 2,679 square feet and is priced at $482,990.

The Dalton model will also boast a first-floor master suite with a luxury bathroom. “This room home will hold special appeal to downsizing active adults, who usually want to keep the most important living space on one floor,” said Johnson. The rest of the house will include a dramatic, two-story great room overseen by a cozy loft. The Dalton measures 2,088 square feet and is priced at $423,990.  in the low $400’s, versus the upper $400’s for the larger Brittany. As a special, limited-time incentive, Dalton and Brittany buyers will receive up to $15,000 in upgrades and free granite countertops in the kitchen.

The other two models, the Arbor and the Canterbury, are now available for purchase as quick delivery homes. Like the Dalton, the Arbor offers a master suite on the first floor. In the Canterbury, the master suite with luxury bath and walk-in closet occupies the second level, but the great room comes with the dramatic flair of volume ceilings. Both models feature full 9 foot-deep basements. The 2,205 square-foot Arbor is priced at $439,990, and the 2,298 square-foot Canterbury is priced at $443,990.

Benefiting from the town’s “100-Best-Places-to-Live” environment, the community will lie close to forest preserves, parks, major golf courses, and countless other recreational options.

Johnson sees Cedar Hill attracting a diverse group of buyers, beginning with Woodridge residents who love the near-perfect area but wish to downsize. Many move-up buyers should also turn out, looking for luxury and a convenient location such as Woodridge, which is only 25 miles west of downtown Chicago.

Convenience is a key—Woodridge didn’t make Money Magazine for its landscape alone. Cedar Hill residents will have quick and easy access to the I-355/I-55 junction. They’ll also find abundant shopping and the nearby Internationale Centre, a large multi-use business park offering plenty of jobs, goods, and services.

“The outside benefits of living here—the natural settings, good shopping, safe streets, and interesting diversions—will automatically help sell a lot of people, but wait until these homebuyers see the inside of the homes. They’re going to love the models, and that’s why this latest grand opening is such an important development,” said Johnson.

To visit the new Cedar Hill sales office at 2551 Cedar Hill Lane in Woodridge, take I-355 south to Route 63, right to Prentice, and left to Lemond Road. For more information, you can also call 630-435-7400 or visit www.kenarhomes.com.
